It seeks to highlight the realities faced by this vulnerable population while mobilizing resources to support life-changing programs under the Women Reform Organization (WRO).
Objectives
- Raise 500 Million Naira to Build a Safe House and Resource Center
- The primary objective of this campaign is to raise 500,000,000 Naira to construct a safe house equipped with a resource center for homeless women and children from age 12 upward.
- The facility will provide shelter, security, rehabilitation, entrepreneurship and empowerment programs to help women rebuild their lives with dignity.
- Highlight the Reality of Homelessness for Women and Children
- Shine a spotlight on the heartbreaking challenges faced by homeless women and girls, including exposure to violence, exploitation, hunger, and lack of access to education and healthcare.
- Share real-life stories to create a powerful emotional connection that will inspire people to act.
- Secure Donations of Land or Buildings
- We are open to receiving donations of empty land or unused buildings that can be developed into the safe house and resource center, making it a sustainable investment for future generations.
- Mobilize Community and Corporate Support
- Encourage individuals, organizations, and corporate sponsors, both locally and internationally, to contribute financially, provide resources, or partner in this lifechanging project.
- Demonstrate the transformative power of collective responsibility in addressing homelessness.
- Foster Empathy Through Shared Experience
- The 7-day sleep-out symbolizes solidarity with homeless women and children, offering participants a chance to experience, in part, the discomfort and insecurity of life without shelter.
