The WRO Skills-to-Enterprise Initiative connects practical technical training with real enterprise development, moving women from learning to earning, asset ownership, and sustainable business growth.
Commencing 21 September 2026 in Ibadan, Oyo State. Partnered with Moh’Ruk Beauty Hub. Admission is subject to review and commitment.
The WRO Skills-to-Enterprise Initiative is a practical women’s economic empowerment and enterprise development programme created by the Women Reform Organization.
The initiative was developed in response to a recurring challenge in vocational empowerment programmes: many women acquire useful skills but are still unable to convert those skills into income, productive assets, or sustainable businesses.
Training alone is not enough.
Women also need the opportunity to practise, produce, serve customers, access markets, acquire essential tools, develop business discipline, and build enterprises that can grow over time.
The WRO Skills-to-Enterprise Initiative is designed to close that gap.
The initiative is built around the following pathway:
The objective is not simply to count how many women attended training. The objective is to build a measurable pathway from skills acquisition to enterprise participation, income generation, asset ownership, and sustainable economic growth.
From Training to Economic Independence
Traditional programmes stop at instruction. We engineer the bridge from classroom execution to commercial survival.
The WRO Skills-to-Enterprise Initiative requires an ecosystem of support. We invite corporate organisations, foundations, government institutions, development organisations, philanthropists, financial institutions, beauty brands, technical experts, and market-access partners to collaborate with us (support may be financial or in-kind).
The initiative is designed to complement public-sector priorities around women's economic empowerment, youth development, employment creation, poverty reduction, and small-business development. Government bodies may support through institutional endorsement, mobilisation, sponsorship, tools/equipment, cooperative development, business registration, grants, public facilities, and programme replication.
